My name is Edvardas Kiaulakis or simply Eddie.
I am certified Personal Trainer working at CMB gym based in Dublin. I gained my qualifications at ImageFitness. I have the National Elite Fitness Professional Certificate. I also hold TRX, Kettlebell, Strongman and Olympic lifting certificates.
So a little bit about myself.
I started training at the age of 16, when my mother got me a gym membership for my 16th birthday. I was very skinny and lacking confidence in myself so she thought it was good idea for me.
It was very hard for me to get into training as I had no idea what I was doing. I decided not to renew my membership at the gym, because I was feeling embarrassed by my appearance and I simply felt intimidated. My father decided to get me a gym set at home, because he thought that getting into training at home would ultimately help me with my self esteem.
When I started to put on more weight and build muscle, I started feeling more confident and better about myself. I eventually decided to renew my membership at the gym and continue training there. I felt that I gained a bit more confidence so I decided to continue training on my own at my local gym.
During my late teens I was studying computer programming and I thought that my future career would be revolved around game development. I was so passionate about game development that I decided to move to America to pursue my career goals. When I moved to America I was working for an indie game development company. I managed to continue training at the gym all throughout my stay. I really got into training and I slowly realized that I was dedicating more efforts into training than in game design. I noticed that going to the gym after a long day at the office made me happier than going to my job as a game developer. In the end I realized that an office based job was not suited for me, and that a career in gaming industry was not my calling.
When I returned back to Ireland I had an epiphany. I realized that I could actually turn my love for training into a new career goal. I love training and love training with other people. I finally decided to have a career change. It made sense to me to become a Fitness Professional.
During all my years of training I have help many people who wanted to change for the better. From early on in life, I knew that I have the right set of skills to help people to achieve their fitness and health goals.
Eventually I realized that there are a lot of people who are going through the same struggle. Fitness and good health is a long journey and it can be very hard to do it on your own. I want to help people who want to help themselves.
I put all my effort and energy into fitness. I am passionate about the idea of bodybuilding and being healthy. I always keep one thing in mind – your body is for life.
